Murder Mystery 2 Halloween 2026: Candy, Battle Pass and Emberscythe Guide
How the Murder Mystery 2 Halloween 2026 event works: earning Candy, the 30 tier pass, the Halloween Box, the Cauldron craft and the dates, as of October 2026.
The Halloween event in Murder Mystery 2 is live, and everything in it runs on one currency: Candy. This guide explains how to earn it, what the Battle Pass and the Halloween Box give you, and how to craft the Emberscythe before the event ends. All details are as of October 2026 and can change, so check prices in game.
Event dates
The event started on October 18 at 19:00 UTC and runs until November 16 at 18:00 UTC, so you have about four weeks. Because clocks change in some regions during that time, use UTC when you plan. You can also see it on our events page.
During the event, Candy replaces the normal coins. No coins appear in rounds, so Candy is the only thing to collect. The lobby also has a retro, witch-themed look, with a smaller area than usual and a Haunted House style map in the rotation.
How to earn Candy
- Play full rounds. Candy spawns on the ground during rounds, and the longer you stay alive the more you can pick up.
- Daily quests. There are three each day, and they reset at 8:00 UTC. Check them every day, since they are the steadiest source.
- Event quests. These are longer goals with seasonal prizes.
- Halloween Bingo. A 3x3 board of nine tasks, found in the Bingo panel. The tasks give extra rewards such as effects and toys, so check the panel for your current nine.
If you are new to the roles and how rounds work, read our Murder Mystery 2 beginner guide first. Staying alive longer helps every part of this event, so the tips in how to win as Murderer, Sheriff and Innocent apply directly.
The 30 tier Battle Pass
The pass has 30 tiers. You buy them with Candy, in order.
- Tier 1 is free.
- Tiers 2 to 29 cost 600 Candy each, which is 16,800 Candy in total.
- Tier 30 is the Ancient gun, the Emberbow, and it costs 100,000 Candy.
That makes roughly 116,800 Candy for the whole pass. Sources disagree slightly: the wiki overview and The Click mention 117,400, a difference of 600, because some listings count an extra 600 Candy final tier unlock. Treat the total as circa 117,000 and check the price shown in game before you plan.
Every odd tier from 3 to 27 gives a Halloween Key, which is 13 keys in total. Other pass rewards include a Zombie Plush, Scarytree, Skull, Candy Corn, Bramble, a Cauldron item, a Broom, a Serpent, Darkwave and the Emberknife at tier 29. The Chroma Emberbow is a very rare possible result when you buy tier 30, and its odds are not published.
Halloween Box
The Halloween Box is the only crate in the event. One opening costs either 600 Candy or one Halloween Key. Since the pass gives you 13 keys, a sensible habit is to use those keys on boxes before you spend Candy on them.
The box has ember-themed weapons plus common and uncommon items. The big prize is the Godly Embersickle knife, and the Chroma Embersickle is the rarest result. The wiki lists the Embersickle at about 0.2 percent and the Chroma version at about 0.004 percent. These numbers are approximate, from the wiki, and not official, so do not count on getting one from a few openings.
How to craft the Emberscythe
The Cauldron is in the Halloween lobby, behind the seasonal NPC, near the buildings on the left. It lets you combine two event items into the Ancient knife, the Emberscythe:
- Get the Embersickle from a Halloween Box.
- Get the Emberbow from tier 30 of the Battle Pass.
- Bring both to the Cauldron and craft.
There is also a low chance of a Chroma Emberscythe from the craft. Read the confirmation screen before you accept, because crafting uses your items. Craft before the event ends on November 16.
The lobby skull puzzle
The wiki and The Click say the lobby has a secret room above the voting pads, reached by clicking the skulls around the lobby in rainbow order. Some players report the door staying shut with that order, so treat it as unconfirmed.
Leaderboard prizes
The top players on the seasonal leaderboard can get special Emberbow variants: gold, silver and bronze for the top three, and a blue one for the top 100. These are separate from the normal Emberbow you buy at tier 30.
Tips and things to avoid
- Do the three daily quests every day, then play full rounds.
- Spend pass keys on boxes first, then decide where your Candy goes.
- You do not need to spend real money. The event has paid weapon options, but the Candy path is free, and purchases cost real money, so ask a parent first.
- Avoid farming servers, account sharing and anyone asking for your login. No official event codes have been announced.
- Do not trust early trade value numbers. They are community estimates.
