Tap Simulator REBORN beginner guide: pets, rebirths and the first bridge

How Tap Simulator REBORN works for new players: tapping, eggs, equipping pets, rebirths, gem upgrades and the 700 power bridge, plus where sources disagree.

After this guide you will know what to do in your first session of Tap Simulator REBORN: what the loop is, where your coins should go, and which purchases are worth waiting for. The game is a clicker made by the Cursor Makers group, and it is still young, so some numbers below differ between sources. Where that happens, we say so.

How the core loop works

The official game page sums it up in five lines: tap to earn Coins, hatch eggs for pets, rebirth to get stronger, unlock new islands, and climb toward being the top tapper. Every guide we read describes the same cycle:

  1. Tap to earn Coins.
  2. Spend Coins on eggs.
  3. Equip the pets you hatch, because equipped pets multiply the Coins you get per tap.
  4. Rebirth to trade Coins for Gems and a permanent boost to your tapping.
  5. Repeat, using the stronger tapping to reach pricier eggs and new islands.

Destructoid also mentions that you can break chests for extra coins along the way.

First steps for a new player

Your first quest asks you to tap a few times to get a starter egg. You pick a starting pet (Dog, Cat or Bunny according to AllThings.how, which found no stat difference between them), and then you save up for a Basic Egg. AllThings.how reports that the first Basic Egg costs 100 Coins and the stand later showed 200 Coins. Hatching pets is how your tap power grows early on, so get a few eggs open before thinking about anything else.

After each hatch session, open the pet menu from the bottom of the screen and press Equip Best. Hatching alone does not put a pet on your team, and a stronger pet sitting in your inventory does nothing for your income. This is the most common beginner slip and it costs nothing to avoid.

Rebirths and what you keep

A rebirth spends your current Coins in exchange for Gems and a permanent increase to Coins per tap. Two independent sources (AllThings.how and the fan-run Tap Simulator Reborn Wiki) agree that you keep your pets, your islands and your Gem upgrades, so the real cost is only the Coins you spend.

The price of the first rebirth is not consistent. One AllThings.how page shows a first rebirth around 600 to 1,150 Coins, and another says about 800. Read the number on the rebirth button in your own game instead of trusting a guide. Costs also rise as your rebirth count goes up.

What to buy with your first Gems

Gems are spent on Gem Upgrades, found at the center of the spawn village. According to AllThings.how, the Auto Clicker costs 20 Gems and is the recommended first purchase, since it taps for you. A second fan wiki also lists the early Auto Clicker at 20 Gems but tells players to verify the price in game. Other cheap upgrades named by AllThings.how include Click Anywhere (10 Gems) and Egg Luck I (10 Gems).

Be careful with Auto Rebirth. It is convenient, but AllThings.how warns that it can spend Coins you were saving for an expensive egg or island gate, so turn it off while you save.

Getting past the first bridge

Leaving the spawn area needs a tap power of 700. Two sources (AllThings.how and the Tap Simulator Reborn Wiki) say the bridge checks your Tap Power, not your Coins, and that you click the bridge once the counter hits 700. Past it you reach more eggs, and AllThings.how says a Sky Island gate costs 10 million Coins, which gives you an idea of how far the early game stretches.

Where sources disagree

  • Spotted Egg price: the in-game quest text and the egg stand have shown different numbers (2,500 and 10,000 Coins are both reported). Check the stand before you save.
  • Spotted Egg pets: the fourth pet on the list is called Cow on one AllThings.how page and Bear on another, so we are not naming it.
  • Codes: Destructoid explains where to redeem codes (Settings, then the Codes button at the bottom, type the code, press Redeem), but sources disagree about which codes work right now. We do not have a codes page for this game yet, so check the official Discord for current ones.

Common mistakes

  • Forgetting to press Equip Best after hatching.
  • Letting Auto Rebirth drain the Coins you wanted for an egg or island.
  • Trusting a guide's egg price over the one on the stand.
  • Trading with strangers. Trading arrived on October 17, 2026 according to AllThings.how, and any deal that looks too good deserves a second look.

Quick checklist

  • Pick a starter pet and open your first Basic Egg.
  • Press Equip Best after every batch.
  • Rebirth once you can afford it, then buy the Auto Clicker with Gems.
  • Aim for 700 Tap Power to break the spawn bridge.
  • Check prices in game, because balance changes often (as of October 2026).
