Break and Steal an Egg Speed Guide: Treadmill, Trails and Zone Requirements
How to get more Speed in Break and Steal an Egg: the free Speed reward, how the Treadmill and Trails work, what each zone needs, and why Speed beats a bigger pickaxe.
In Break and Steal an Egg your pickaxe decides how fast you break an egg, but your Speed decides whether you reach the zone and get home with the animal. After this guide you will know the free ways to gain Speed, how the Treadmill and Trails work, and how much Speed each zone asks for. If you want pickaxe numbers, read our pickaxe list and the beginner guide. The figures below come from fan guides as of October 2026, so check the shop and the zone gate in the game before you spend.
Why Speed matters more than you think
These are two separate checks. Pickaxe Power controls how quickly you break an egg. Speed controls which zones you can enter and how well you can get away from the guardian once you have the animal. The official description sums up the loop as breaking eggs, stealing the animals, escaping the guards and placing them at your base. If a guard catches you, the run fails, so Speed keeps you alive long enough to make use of a better pickaxe later.
Free Speed you can claim
You do not need Robux or Cash for these:
- Like and favorite the game and join the developer group, because the official description promises free rewards for it.
- Back in the Safe Zone, look for the Free Rewards area to the right of the Trails Shop and press Claim if the prompt is there. Guides report +10K Speed, but the amount can change and the prompt may be missing, so use what your own server shows.
- Claim the free Legendary Sabertooth Egg: join the ILGames x Eggs community on Roblox, open the Shop in the game, scroll to Community Rewards at the bottom, type your full Roblox username with the exact capital letters and press Verify.
Check these steps in the game, since developers can change rewards. There are no typed codes for this, and we explain that in our codes page.
The Treadmill
The Treadmill is in front of your base in the Safe Zone. Stand on it with a Trail equipped and your Speed grows while you train. You can upgrade the Treadmill when the price shown in your game fits your Cash. Prices change, and guides disagree on the exact numbers, so we do not list them here: read the Upgrade panel in the game.
Trails
Trails are bought in the Trails Shop next to the Leaderboards at spawn and multiply your Speed gains. A Trail does nothing until you equip it from the Trail menu, so always check that it is on. Once bought, a Trail is yours for good and you can switch between owned Trails at any time. The fan wiki, Beebom and allthings.how all list 11 tiers:
- White, $500, 2x
- Blue, $7.5K, 4x
- Green, $100K, 8x
- Purple, $1.2M, 16x
- Red, $17.5M, 40x
- Golden, $250M, 100x
- Rainbow, $3.5B, 250x
- Galactic, $45B, 600x
- Secret, $600B, 1,500x
- Laser, $8T, 4,000x
- Moonlight, $100T, 10,000x
Zone Speed requirements
The fan wiki and Roonby list the same Speed gate for each of the nine zones:
- Forest: 5
- Desert: 1,000
- Snowy: 50,000
- Candy: 750,000
- Swamp: 12,000,000
- Ocean: 150,000,000
- Hell: 1,000,000,000
- Blossom: 5,000,000,000
- Galaxy: 25,000,000,000
Both sources warn that updates can change the numbers, so read the value at the zone entrance. Keep a buffer above the gate, because a route you cannot repeat safely is still a problem. Servers hold up to 7 players.
A simple order to follow
- Start in the Forest at 5 Speed and make safe deliveries.
- Claim the free Speed reward and the Sabertooth Egg as soon as you can.
- Train on the Treadmill and buy the next Trail when you can afford it, then equip it.
- Move to the next zone only when your Speed is above its number and you can bring animals back reliably.
- Check the Index after each delivery. If it shows a Speed or Cash reward, claim it.
Robux items
The shop also sells Robux items that boost Speed. These cost real money, you never need them to follow this guide, and children should ask a parent before buying.
Quick checklist
- Speed is above the zone's number, with a buffer.
- Trail equipped.
- Free rewards claimed.
- Exit route chosen before you swing at the egg.
