Break and Steal an Egg Beginner Guide: First Steps and Upgrades

New to Break and Steal an Egg? Learn the loop, your first safe delivery, how to find what is slowing you down, and what to upgrade first.

Starting Break and Steal an Egg and not sure what to do? After this guide you will know how a run works, how to make your first delivery, and how to choose upgrades without wasting cash. The game is new (it appeared on Roblox in September 2026, from the group ILGames x Eggs), and it says it is inspired by Steal an Egg. Details can change as updates arrive, so treat numbers as of October 2026.

What you do in this game

It is a simulation game with a simple idea. You break an egg with your pickaxe, take the animal that hatches out, escape the guards, and bring the animal back to your pen. A successful delivery earns cash, and cash pays for upgrades and for reaching harder areas.

Four things decide how far you can go:

  • Speed, which lets you reach new areas and run home.
  • Your pickaxe, which decides how fast you can break eggs.
  • Pen space, which is how many animals you can store.
  • A safe route, so you do not lose the animal on the way back.

Your first delivery

The Roonby progression guide recommends starting small. Follow these steps:

  1. Do a short, safe run near the starting area first.
  2. Train your Speed until you can get past the first gate.
  3. Look for a nearby egg that your current pickaxe can break. You begin with the Wooden Pickaxe, which has a Power of 1, according to Bloxodes.
  4. Break the egg and pick up the animal after it hatches.
  5. Go back to your pen and check that the animal was really placed there.

One easy mistake is thinking you finished when you did not. Always confirm the animal is in your pen before you head out again.

Find your bottleneck

Do not spend all your cash on random upgrades. Instead, time a normal run and see which part takes longest:

  • Breaking the egg takes forever: upgrade your pickaxe, which helps with harder eggs.
  • Getting there and back takes forever: raise your Speed and equip a trail. Travel matters more the farther you go.
  • You cannot place a new animal: your pen is probably full, so expand it or clear space before the next run.

The same guide notes that the strongest pickaxe is not automatically the best buy. If you spend most of your time running or dodging guards, a new tool may not help much.

Pickaxe prices at the start

Bloxodes lists 18 pickaxes in the shop. The first few are cheap: Wooden is the free starter, Stone costs 80 cash for 4 Power, Iron costs 800 for 15 Power, and Golden costs 20,000 for 60 Power. Prices and Robux offers can change after updates, so check the shop in your game.

Escaping with an animal

Plan before you break anything. Look at where the guards walk, avoid detours, and head straight home. Dropping the animal or taking too long can lose that run's progress. Start with short routes, and only try farther areas once your deliveries are steady.

Use the Index

The Index shows which animals you have collected and which are still missing. It also has reward milestones that can work as goals, and some areas have their own entries, which gives you a reason to come back to older zones. Rewards may change after updates, so look at the live game.

Free rewards and events

Rowatcher says that liking the game and joining the group are linked to free rewards. Roonby also mentions Titanic Egg events, which show a countdown and a zone notification, and a Demon King Rift event that needs 1,000 Essence before the boss part. Events change, so read what the game tells you in the moment. Old codes from videos may have expired, so only trust codes you can check in the game or in creator announcements.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Chasing the hardest egg too early. Steady deliveries beat risky ones.
  • Ignoring pen space.
  • Forgetting to equip your trail after buying it.
  • Spending real money. Robux offers cost real money, so ask a parent before buying.

Beginner checklist

  1. Finish one safe delivery and confirm it.
  2. Time your run and find the slowest step.
  3. Upgrade only that step.
  4. Watch pen space and the Index.
  5. Move to harder areas once your route is steady.
