Break and Steal an Egg Pickaxes: All 18, Power and Cost
All 18 pickaxes in Break and Steal an Egg with Power and price, plus a simple way to decide when upgrading your pickaxe is worth it.
Your pickaxe decides how quickly you can crack eggs in Break and Steal an Egg. This guide lists all 18 pickaxes with their Power and price, and shows you how to decide when buying the next one is actually the right move. Figures are as of October 2026 (the Bloxodes list was updated on 1 October), and prices can change, so compare with the in-game shop.
All pickaxes in shop order
Two sites agree on the Power values. Prices come from Bloxodes, since the Roonby guide gives no prices. Letters mean thousand (k), million (M), billion (B), trillion (T) and quadrillion (Qa).
- Wooden: free starter, Power 1.
- Stone: 80 cash, Power 4.
- Iron: 800 cash, Power 15.
- Golden: 20k cash, Power 60.
- Diamond: 160k cash, Power 250.
- Strawberry: 1.2M cash, Power 1k.
- Cactus: 6M cash, Power 4k.
- Lightning: 40M cash, Power 15k.
- Candy: 400M cash, Power 60k.
- Rainbow: 2.8B cash, Power 250k.
- Crystal: 20B cash, Power 1M.
- Demon: 120B cash, Power 4M.
- Hacker: 1.2T cash, Power 15M.
- UFO: 12T cash, Power 60M.
- Secret: 80T cash, Power 250M.
- Cool: 600T cash, Power 1B.
- Galaxy: 4Qa cash, Power 5B.
- Celestial: 20Qa cash, Power 25B.
Notice the pattern: each step up is roughly four times the Power of the one before, and the prices climb fast. The Wooden Pickaxe is the only free one, and Stone at 80 cash is the first you pay for.
Early, mid and late stages
Bloxodes groups the tools by stage. Wooden to Golden are early. Diamond to Rainbow are mid (although the page's own headings place Rainbow in a slightly different group, so do not worry about the exact line). Crystal onward is late. Use the stages as a rough map of where you are in the game, not as a strict rule.
How to know when to upgrade
The Roonby guides give the same advice, and it is the most useful part: do not buy a pickaxe just because it has the biggest number. Instead:
- Time one normal run, from starting to break an egg until the animal is in your pen.
- Note how long each part takes: breaking, moving, escaping the guards, carrying, and placing.
- If breaking the egg is the longest part, upgrade your pickaxe.
- If you spend most of the run traveling, work on Speed or equip a trail instead.
- If you keep failing to place animals, expand your pen.
A stronger pickaxe mainly helps with harder eggs. If you are already breaking the eggs you can reach in a few hits, the extra Power may not make your runs faster.
Which pickaxe for which egg?
Bloxodes does not link each pickaxe to a specific egg. It says to compare the numbers and test the egg in front of you. That is honest advice: no source we found gives an official match chart. So try a new egg with your current pickaxe, and if it takes too long, that is your cue to save for the next tool.
Smart saving tips
- Check the price of the next pickaxe before spending on anything else, then decide if it is your bottleneck.
- Do not empty your cash on a pickaxe if your pen is full. A stronger tool does not help if you cannot place the animal.
- Keep making safe deliveries. Cash comes from successful runs, and the Roonby progression guide says to prioritize steady deliveries over attempting the hardest egg.
- Watch for events such as Titanic Egg countdowns. Roonby says you need enough Pickaxe power to break that egg, then you must secure the animal and bring it home.
Cautions
- Roonby says prices and Robux offers can change after updates.
- Some rarity labels were not recorded in the Roonby list, so use the in-game shop for rarity.
- Pickaxes cost in-game cash, and any Robux offers cost real money. Ask a parent first, and you never need to spend Robux to enjoy the game.
Quick checklist
- Time your run.
- Upgrade the pickaxe only if breaking is the slow part.
- Make sure the pen has space.
- Re-check the shop after every update.
