Sol's RNG Beginner Guide: Luck, Gear, Quest Board and Biomes

How luck really works in Sol's RNG, which gears to craft first at Jake's Workshop, what the Quest Board and bonus rolls do, and how biomes change your aura odds.

In Sol's RNG you roll for auras, craft gear from them, and drink potions to roll better ones. This guide explains the parts a new player misses: how luck is calculated, what to craft first, how to use the Quest Board, and why biomes matter. The numbers come from the community wiki as of October 2026, and the game gets frequent Eon updates, so check item descriptions in the game when something looks different.

What you are trying to do

Auras are the goal of the game. You get them by rolling or, for a small group, by crafting. Each aura has a rarity written as 1 in some number, and the higher the number the rarer it is. The game's description says there are over 400 auras to find. Pressing Roll picks one at random, and your luck stat shifts the odds toward rarer ones.

How luck works

Luck is the main stat that changes your effective odds. The wiki describes it as a number that works against an aura's rarity, so strong luck turns a 1 in 1,000,000 aura into something far more reachable. A few things to know:

  • Most gear and normal luck potions give "basic" luck. A Luck Glove gives +25 percent, and +100 percent is written as 1.0 in the formula.
  • Luck sources mostly add together before multipliers apply.
  • VIP multiplies the final total.
  • Some auras are "luck-unaffected" and are rolled on true odds, so potions do not help with those.

Every tenth roll is a bonus roll with double luck. The roll counter on the button shows "x2 Luck Ready" when it is available. Some gear changes this, for example a Gravitational Device gives a x6 bonus roll. The wiki notes that potions which add to base luck, such as Heavenly Potions, are not doubled by the normal bonus roll.

The practical lesson: stack luck, then do your serious rolling when the bonus roll is ready and your potions are active.

Craft your first gear at Jake's Workshop

Jake's Workshop is near the spawn, next to the bridge. Gear is crafted from auras, so the more you roll, the more you can craft. Two beginner recipes from the wiki:

  • Luck Glove: +25 percent luck. It needs 3 Rare auras, 2 Divinus auras and 1 Crystallized aura. The wiki calls it the easiest gear to craft there.
  • Lunar Device: +15 percent roll speed. It needs 1 Rare, 1 Divinus and 1 Lunar aura. The Lunar aura is listed at 1 in 50,000, so this one takes longer.

Craft the Luck Glove first, then work toward better gear, which the wiki lists with larger luck values (for example +250 percent for a Galactic Device and +290 percent for a Volcanic Device). Use the wiki recipe before you start rolling for a specific aura, so you do not waste rolls on the wrong targets.

Use the Quest Board and daily quests

The Quest Board is a free source of potions and coins. The wiki says it holds up to 5 quests at a time, you can have 3 active, and a new quest appears every hour. Examples from the list:

  • Roll a specific Basic aura: 5 Lucky Potions and 5 Speed Potions.
  • Catch 5 Common Fish: 10 Lucky Potions and 10 Speed Potions.
  • Play for 10 minutes (Meditation I): an Incense Burner.
  • Collect 3 Lucky Clovers: 3 Fortune Potion III.

Fortune Potion III gives +100 percent luck. Lucky and Speed potions are the easy way to boost early rolling, and the tutorial itself gives you a Tutorial Potion, which is why the wiki says not to skip it.

Understand biomes

The game rolls the biome system every second, so the world changes on its own. Biomes include Windy, Snowy, Rainy, Sandstorm, Hell, Starfall, Heaven, Corruption and Null, plus rarer ones. A chat message tells everyone when a biome spawns.

Biome auras are normally easier to roll while their biome is active. The wiki gives an example: a Rainy-biome aura can be about 1 in 100,000,000 during Rain, but about 1 in 400,000,000 elsewhere. When a good biome for the aura you want appears, that is a good time to roll.

Common mistakes

  • Rolling with no luck gear or potions equipped.
  • Skipping the tutorial and losing the free Tutorial Potion.
  • Ignoring the Quest Board, which refills every hour.
  • Chasing luck-unaffected auras with luck potions.
  • Trusting "free aura" sites. The only real way to get items from outside the game is a code from the developer, and you never need to pay. Any purchase in Roblox costs real money.

Quick plan

  1. Finish the tutorial and equip your first aura.
  2. Roll until you can craft the Luck Glove.
  3. Check the Quest Board every hour.
  4. Save luck potions for bonus rolls and good biomes.
