Fisch Money Guide: Best Places to Farm C$ and Rods to Aim For
A step-by-step Fisch money route from early game to late mid-game: the best farming spots, the rods worth saving for, and mutations that raise fish value.
This guide shows you a sensible route for earning C$ in Fisch from your first rod to the late mid-game. If you are brand new, start with a beginner guide first and come back once you have a boat and a rod such as the Carbon Rod or Steady Rod. Fisch gets updates often, so fish values and rod requirements can change. The route below follows the community wiki walkthrough, which was last edited in August 2026, and we mention where older articles may be behind.
The basic idea
Selling fish is the main way to earn C$. A fish sells for more when it is a higher rarity, heavier, or carries a mutation. So the plan is simple: use a rod that catches the right fish in a good spot, add a good bait, then upgrade the rod when you can afford the next one.
Early money spots (low level)
Destructoid lists these for players who are still on cheap rods:
- Roslit Bay coral reef. Good for new players. Manta Rays are the fish to look for here, and Destructoid suggests Shrimp bait.
- Forsaken Shores pond (the fountain). Beebom reports a high chance of Captain's Goldfish here.
Both are easy to reach by boat and do not need special gear.
Mid-game route: from Steady Rod to King's Rod
According to the wiki walkthrough, a typical path looks like this:
- Save for a rod such as the Steady Rod (7,000 C$ in Roslit Bay), or finish the Orc quest for the Magma Rod.
- Keep selling until you have around 100,000 C$. Then go to the Keepers Altar at the Statue of Sovereignty and get the King's Rod. The wiki describes this as the start of the mid-game.
- Use Enchant Relics on your rod. The wiki suggests Hasty or Divine on the King's Rod.
- Explore important places such as The Depths, Atlantis and Tidefall, and aim for stronger rods. The wiki names the Blazebringer Rod and the Fallen Rod as strong picks at this stage.
Remember that reaching Atlantis, Mariana's Veil and similar places takes extra steps. The wiki advises you not to spend too long on those before you have money.
Best places to farm C$ at this point
The wiki ranks these spots from most to least money, based on player experience:
- Volcanic Vents (first layer of Mariana's Veil). You travel there by Submarine and you must have the Glimmerfin Suit. The wiki lists Legendary Scalding Swordfish at 2,080 C$ and Mythical Blisterback Blenny at 7,312 C$, and says they are very common during the day. The fish fight back, so you want good resilience and control.
- Kraken Pool (bottom of Atlantis). You get in after finishing all four Atlantis puzzles. Legendary and Mythical fish sell for about 3,040 C$ and 5,770 C$, but they are harder to hook.
- The Depths. Reached past the Vertigo gate. Legendary and Mythical fish sell for over 1,150 C$ and 2,250 C$, and Enchant Relics show up more often. The wiki now calls it mediocre for pure money but still useful.
Because these are hard to reach, many players farm at the easier spots until they are ready.
Rods to aim for next
These come from the wiki walkthrough and need real progress:
- Trident Rod: 150,000 C$ plus 5 Enchant Relics, bought in Desolate Deep. It can stab active fish for an easier catch.
- Rod of the Depths: unlocked in The Depths by placing an Abyssal and a Hexed Enchant Relic and finishing the maze.
- Great Rod of Oscar: 2,500,000 C$ at level 250, found in Oscar's Locker. The wiki calls it the best option for grinding XP.
- Luminescent Oath: 1,000,000 C$ after level 500, and you need a completed bestiary for the Luminescent Cavern. The wiki calls it excellent for money, because a perfect catch can give a Mastered mutation that multiplies the fish value by 9.
Mutations, appraisal and luck events
Mutations raise a fish's value. Beebom lists examples such as Abyssal (3.5x) and Subspace (5x). You can take a fish to the Appraiser in Moosewood (450 C$ according to Destructoid). Destructoid warns that appraising removes any mutation the fish already has and is only worth it for expensive Mythical fish.
Luck events help too. The wiki mentions fishing during the Aurora Borealis with an Aurora Totem from the Brine Pool, and Beebom noted the totem cost 500,000 C$ in January 2025, so check the current price. Never feel pressured to spend Robux on boosts. Everything above can be earned by playing.
Quick checklist
- Farm Roslit Bay or the Forsaken Shores pond early.
- Save about 100,000 C$ for the King's Rod.
- Enchant the rod you use most.
- Only appraise your most valuable fish.
- Check prices in the game before every big purchase.
