Bloxburg Money Guide: Jobs, Moods and House Bills Explained
How to earn more money in Welcome to Bloxburg: how job pay works, why moods matter, which jobs exist, and how to keep house bills low with solar panels.
In Welcome to Bloxburg money pays for everything: build items, food, vehicles and the bills on your house. This guide explains how pay is worked out today, so you can earn more in each shift and stop losing money on things you did not plan for. The wiki itself notes that the job system changed in 2024 and 2026, so some small details may shift. Everything below is as of October 2026.
How job pay works now
Work is the main way to earn money. The wiki lists 14 jobs (not counting jobs made by players): Cashier at BFF, Delivery Person, Fast Food Worker, Fisherman, Hairdresser, Janitor, Mechanic, Miner, Pizza Baker, Seller, Stocker, Woodcutter, Teacher and Taxi Driver.
Since the 0.12.6 update all jobs pay about the same, so you do not need to hunt for the one best job. Pay depends on three things:
- Total Work Experience level: this goes up to level 100 and sets your base pay per task and per minute in every job.
- Efficiency: up to 100 percent. Speed at doing tasks counts for 70 percent of it and your mood counts for the other 30 percent.
- Mood: low moods cut your pay, explained below.
Each job also has its own level up to 10, and it rises by finishing tasks, not by waiting around. Total Work Experience is built from those job levels, so switching between jobs you enjoy still counts toward it. Reaching level 10 in a job gives an Excellence Award, and level 100 in total experience gives a Work Experience Trophy. Some levels also give small cash rewards.
Keep your moods high before you clock in
There are four moods: fun, energy, hunger and hygiene. They all drop slowly over time, and being near a friend makes them drop slower. The wiki gives these pay bands, based on your lowest mood:
- Lowest mood above 80 percent: full pay.
- Lowest mood between 51 and 80 percent (with all moods above 50): 85 percent of full pay.
- Lowest mood at 50 percent or below: 70 percent of full pay.
Low energy slows your walking, and low hygiene makes flies follow you, so the game tells you when you need a break. A smart routine is to eat, shower, sleep or do something fun first, then work until a mood drops near 80 percent. There is also a Boost Mood button that costs Blockbux, a currency you can buy with Robux. Robux costs real money, so ask a parent first. It is never needed, because food and activities do the same job for free.
Other ways to earn
The wiki's money page lists more sources besides jobs:
- Growing and harvesting plants in gardening. Plant selling prices drop as you put more plants on the plot, and a plot is limited to 800 plants.
- Daily login rewards on days 1 to 4, and trophies for 7, 14 and 30 day streaks.
- Selling items and leveling up some jobs and the Athletic skill.
- Donations from other players.
House bills and how to cut them
Bills arrive every in-game week, which the wiki says is about 2 hours and 48 minutes of real time. They cost 0.6 percent of your house value, or 0.3 percent with the Premium gamepass. Pay them at your mailbox or from the house menu, or switch on Automatically Pay Bills in the options. If you ignore them, your water and electricity are turned off and lights, appliances and plumbing stop working.
Solar panels reduce the bill by 20 percent, up to a limit of 500, 1000 or 2000 dollars per panel depending on whether it is the economic, intermediate or advanced type. The wiki says the total reduction stays at 20 percent however many panels you place. Also note that unpaid bills grow if you add value to the house.
Checklist
- Check your moods and fix any that are low.
- Pick a job you like and finish tasks quickly.
- Keep working so total experience climbs toward level 100.
- Pay bills weekly or turn on automatic payment.
- Place a solar panel once your house is worth a lot.
