Anime Dice Beginner Guide: Dice, Traits, Grades and When to Rebirth
How to grow faster in Anime Dice: fill your pedestals, buy the right upgrades and dice, pick traits and grades wisely, and know when a rebirth is worth it.
Anime Dice is a roller where you roll dice to get anime characters, place them on your plot and earn cash, even while you are offline. After this guide you will know what to spend your first cash on, how the dice, traits and grades work and when a rebirth makes sense. The numbers come from guides updated in September and October 2026, so they may shift in later updates.
The core loop
Roll a die to get a character, place it on a pedestal, collect cash, then spend that cash to roll better. Empty pedestals earn nothing, so fill every one, even with common characters. If your cash counter stops rising, the AllThingsHow guide says the usual reason is an empty pedestal or a plot that has not finished loading.
What to upgrade first
The guide's suggested order is:
- Money
- Luck
- Roll Speed
- Unit Storage
- Damage and Health, only if you want to push the Tower
Luck matters because the dice are what raise it. Bloxodes lists 22 dice. The early ones are Fire (5x Luck, 2.5K cash), Water (10x, 10K), Nature (20x, 75K), Lightning (42x, 500K), Ice (100x, 4M), Magma (200x, 30M) and Storm (400x, 200M). Higher Luck lets your rolls reach deeper into the character pool, but it does not guarantee a specific character. Do not spend your last cash on the biggest die, because your placed characters still need money to keep earning. A slightly cheaper upgrade is sometimes the better buy.
Traits
Traits are one flat bonus per character, and a character holds only one at a time, so each reroll replaces the old trait. The September 2026 trait list from AllThingsHow shows:
- Transcendent: 15x to income, damage and health (0.006 percent)
- Monarch: 8x (0.025 percent)
- Shogun: 5x (0.12 percent)
- Samurai: 3x (0.5 percent)
- Money, Damage and Health III: 2x of one stat (1.2 percent)
- II: 1.5x (6.3 percent)
- I: 1.2x (25.4 percent)
Only the four top traits boost all three stats. The advice is to save Trait Rerolls for rare or heavily upgraded characters that you plan to keep, and to stop rolling once you get Samurai or better. To reroll, open the Traits station in the hub, select a character and press Roll.
Grades and mutations
Grades multiply a character's income. The Update 4 guide lists D at 1.1x up to Z+ at 25x (C 1.2x, B 1.6x, A 3x, A+ 4.5x, S 7x, S+ 10x, Z 15x). Grades are bought with Gems, so put them into one strong earner instead of spreading them around. Mutations such as Silver, Gold, Rainbow or Titanic are part of a character when you pull it, so check each one before selling.
When to rebirth
Rebirth resets your cash and gives a permanent cash and luck multiplier. The guide lists the first three:
- Rebirth 1: 500K cash, multiplier from 1x to 1.5x
- Rebirth 2: 5M cash, 1.5x to 2x
- Rebirth 3: 500M cash, 2x to 2.5x
Rebirth only when your plot can rebuild the lost cash quickly, and spend any spare cash before you reset.
Mistakes to avoid
- Spending Trait Rerolls on characters you will replace soon.
- Spending on Damage and Health before you care about the Tower.
- Selling a character before checking its mutation, grade and trait.
- Spending real money to roll. Purchases cost real money, so ask a parent first.
Codes
New codes appear regularly and give Lucky Spins, Trait Rerolls and Gems. See our Anime Dice codes page for the ones we have checked. Save Lucky Spins until you own a few luck upgrades and a better die.
