Steal An Egg Race Guide: Rewards, Win Milestones and Tips

How the Steal An Egg race works: the 30 minute schedule, portal, three laps, Trophy and Win rewards, the milestone list, shop prices and fair tips.

Want to know how the race in Steal An Egg works and what it pays? After reading this you will know how to join, what happens on the track, which rewards are worth chasing and how to get the most out of your Trophies. Everything here is checked against three separate guides from the first week of the event, so details may change as of October 2026.

What the race is

The race is a limited-time event that arrived with Update 8 on October 10, 2026. One guide says it runs for about a week before the Halloween Dimension update replaces it, so treat the timing as temporary and check the in-game event screen.

You race other players in your own server on a three-lap track. A race starts in each server every 30 minutes, and there is no minimum Speed to enter, so even a brand new player with the starting Ostrich can take part.

How to join a race

There is no menu queue. Instead:

  1. Stay in your server and watch for the server announcement. It tells you which biome the race portal appeared in. The biome changes, and one guide says it shows up most often in the Abyss Ocean biome.
  2. Travel to that biome and walk into the portal.
  3. Wait for the lobby to fill. One guide reports a wait of roughly 40 to 50 seconds before the race begins, and a timer appears a few minutes before the start.
  4. Run the three laps and try to finish first.

What happens on the track

The track has speed boost strips that give you a short burst when you run over them. Power-ups are scattered along the route: some help your own racer, and others can be placed as obstacles in front of opponents. Hazards on the course work against you, so steer around them. One guide names spikes, slippery eggs and stun bombs.

Your Racer is the pet you ride. Everyone starts with the Ostrich. The Racers you unlock are described as cosmetic and do not give you extra speed, so you do not need a special mount to compete.

Rewards for racing

Only a first-place finish raises your win count. A win pays 1 Win and 2,500 Trophies. Other placements still give some Trophies, but the guides do not agree on exact amounts, so none is listed here.

Wins also move you along a milestone track that runs from 1 to 35 Wins:

  • 1 Win: Seahorse Egg and Seahorse Racer
  • 3 and 7 Wins: 475 Trophies each
  • 5 Wins: Lizard Egg and Lizard Racer
  • 10 and 12 Wins: 625 Trophies each
  • 15 Wins: Bird Egg and Bird Racer
  • 17 and 19 Wins: 845 Trophies each
  • 21 Wins: Cheetah Egg and Cheetah Racer
  • 24, 27 and 35 Wins: 1,250 Trophies each
  • 30 Wins: Snail Egg and Snail Racer

Two of the three guides call this the Win Pass, while the third does not use that name, but the milestone values match across all of them.

What to buy with Trophies

The event shop sells these items, with prices that matched in the guides:

  • Nitro Mutation: 475 Trophies, a 10 percent chance to apply Nitro to your pets
  • 2x Cash Booster: 275 Trophies, lasts 10 minutes
  • 1.25x Speed booster: 375 Trophies, lasts 5 minutes
  • 2x Treadmill Booster: 375 Trophies, lasts 10 minutes
  • Racing Bat: 10,000 Trophies, permanent

There is also a 2x Trophies boost sold for Robux (299 in most guides). It costs real money, so ask a parent or guardian before buying anything. You can do well without it.

Fair tips to do better

  • Learn the track by racing a few times. Hitting every speed strip and dodging hazards matters more than anything else.
  • Pick up power-ups as you pass them. Use the helpful ones early and keep obstacles for when an opponent is just behind you.
  • Stay careful on the final lap. One guide notes a single hit can let a rival pass you when you are leading.
  • Buy short boosters right before you use them, for example before treadmill training or a hatching session, so the timer is not wasted. The 5 minute speed booster especially.
  • Four first-place wins give 10,000 Trophies, enough for the Racing Bat, which is the best long-term buy as it never expires.
  • Win milestones need first place, so racing early in the event gives you the most chances to finish the list.

Quick checklist

  1. Watch the announcement for the portal biome.
  2. Enter before the race starts.
  3. Dodge hazards and use power-ups.
  4. Spend Trophies on the permanent item first, and boosters only when you are about to use them.
