Squid Game X Beginner Guide: Game Modes, Glass Bridge and Night Brawl
Learn how a Squid Game X match works, the order of the games, how Red Light Green Light and the Glass Bridge work, what Night Brawl is and which daily rewards you can get.
Squid Game X is a Roblox game where players go through a series of survival games, and anyone who fails a challenge is eliminated. After this guide you will know how a match is built, how the main games work and which habits help you last longer. The game changes often, and one of our sources was written in January 2024, so the in-game menu is always the final word on rules and timers.
How a match works
You and the other players move through a list of game modes. The wiki lists many of them, including Red Light, Green Light, Honeycomb, Pentathlon, Mingle, Tug of War, Hide and Seek, Jump Rope, Marbles, Rock Paper Scissors Minus One, Glass, Stepping Stones, Squid Game and Sky Squid Game. It says Squid Game is the hardest one, and that you get the total reward when you finish it.
Night Brawl is the exception. The wiki says it has no fixed place in the order and can happen between the first and the last mode. One more detail from the BlueStacks guide: players run up a spiral staircase to each game, and a player who does not arrive before the timer ends is disqualified automatically.
Not every mode is always in the rotation, and the wiki notes that several modes were changed between versions, so you may not see all of them.
Red Light, Green Light
The wiki describes this mode as a race across a field. When the doll says "Red Light" and turns its head, you must stop. If you move on red, you are shot, which slows you down, and after 3 shots you are eliminated. You have 2 minutes to reach the other side, according to the wiki. The BlueStacks guide agrees on the core rule: stop when the doll turns around and move again when it turns back.
Glass Bridge
Both sources describe the same idea. Each row of the bridge has two glass tiles, and one of them is fake. The wiki says the bridge has 10 rows. If you step on the fake tile, it breaks and you fall. Anyone who does not get across in time is eliminated.
A player is randomly chosen at the start of each match as the Glass Maker. If the Glass Maker is still alive at this game, they can see the unsafe tiles, marked in red, according to the wiki. BlueStacks advises keeping the Glass Maker alive, because their knowledge is the main reliable way to cross. The wiki adds that you can buy a Glass Maker gamepass for 649 Robux if you want that role every match. That costs real money, so ask a parent or guardian first.
Night Brawl
Night Brawl is a fight between players. You get a punch tool, and the wiki says it currently deals 2 damage per hit, down from 5 in older versions so that more players survive.
Other modes in short
- Honeycomb: you drag a cube along the shape you get. The wiki lists the shapes as Square, Triangle, Star, Circle and Umbrella, and says the 4.0 version shows the path, which makes it easier. BlueStacks says that keyboard and mouse controls are easier than a virtual joystick for this mode.
- Tug of War: teams pull against each other, and BlueStacks says that you mash a button to pull. The wiki lists a Tug of War Skill boost.
- Mingle: the wiki says it can be the third game, with three rounds where you must form a group of the right size in a room within 30 seconds, from 1 to 4 people.
Daily rewards and boosts
The wiki says Daily Rewards repeat every 7 days. Depending on the day you can get money, crates or free guard and frontman uses, and joining the creator's group gives you an extra reward on each day. Boosts such as Sprint, Jump and Health are permanent, and the wiki says each one can be upgraded 5 times with in-game money or with Robux.
Quick checklist
- Read the timer and reach each game before it ends.
- Stop right away on red, and remember the limit of 3 shots.
- Protect the Glass Maker if you can, and use their information.
- Do not spend Robux without asking a parent or guardian.
- Check the in-game menu for the current rules.
