Save the Krusty Krab beginner guide: prep, orders, cleanup and villains
How a Save the Krusty Krab shift works on Roblox: crew setup, what to stock before opening, serving orders, nightly cleanup, Plankton and Doubloons.
Save the Krusty Krab is a Roblox restaurant game set in Bikini Bottom. You work a shift at the Krusty Krab, run the register, cook, assemble orders and deliver them, then clean up before the next day. This guide covers how a shift flows, what to prepare first and the mistakes that cost new players the most time. It is based on the official Roblox page and several independent guides, and it only states details that more than one source agrees on.
What the game is
The official page describes a cooking and serving job: run the register, fire up the grill, assemble orders and deliver the food, while keeping customers happy and earning money. You play as SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward and other characters from the show, and the page promises a wide range of customers, including villains and VIPs. Plankton is the constant troublemaker. You can also upgrade the restaurant and your character to handle harder shifts.
A note on who made it: the Roblox page lists the Krabby Krew group as the creator and carries a Viacom copyright line for the SpongeBob license. Some third-party pages describe the developer differently, so this guide follows the official page. Bloxgamer is an independent fan site and is not affiliated with the game or its owners.
Set up your first shift
In the lobby you choose a crew size before starting. Guides describe a crew of one to four players, so solo play is fully supported. Two independent guides also say to leave the tutorial on for your first run, since it walks you through the basic tasks on the first day.
New players start with a basic character, and other characters are bought with Doubloons, the lobby currency you earn from the Tasks menu. Restaurant cash is separate: you earn it by serving customers during a run and it pays for restaurant upgrades. Treat Doubloons as the long-term goal and cash as the short-term tool.
What to do before the first customer
The most common beginner mistake is running to the register at once. Orders then pile up while nothing is cooked. Two independent guides suggest stocking up first when you play solo:
- Grill patties until you hold about 10 of them.
- Pour sodas until you hold about 10.
- Only then start taking orders.
Both guides frame these as practical recommendations rather than fixed game rules, so adjust them if your shift runs differently. Bread and meat are the items worth prioritizing early, because every burger needs them.
Serving orders correctly
- Build the order exactly as the customer asked. If you assemble the wrong item, clear it and start again instead of serving it.
- Check the hint before handing food over. Deliver only when the customer's bubble or hint shows green, which means it is the matching order.
- Watch the grill. Guides agree that burned food wastes time and hurts your rating.
- Look for sleeping customers. A smoky cloud over a customer means they fell asleep, and the guides say to kick them out so others are not left waiting.
Cleanup and nightly chores
After the shift report, a night phase follows with chores such as mopping spills, wiping tables and stations, and taking the trash out. Do not skip it. Guides say spills and trash slow service, and that a full bin left overnight can attract unwanted trouble. Keep your trash in one spot so you make fewer trips to the bin.
Restaurant cash earned during the run can be spent on upgrades between days. The exact stock changes, so check what is on offer each night rather than planning around a fixed list.
Villains and energy
Plankton is the villain the official page warns about, and other troublemakers and VIP customers show up as the run goes on. Your energy drains as you work, so pace your tasks instead of sprinting around the whole restaurant.
Common mistakes
- Taking orders before stocking patties and sodas.
- Delivering to the wrong customer or serving a wrong order instead of clearing the tray.
- Letting the grill run unattended.
- Leaving trash and spills for later.
- Ignoring sleeping customers.
Quick checklist for your first run
- Leave the tutorial on and set crew size to one if you want to learn alone.
- Stock about 10 sodas and 10 patties before opening.
- Take orders, assemble them exactly, and deliver on green.
- Finish the night chores and spend your cash on upgrades.
- Collect Doubloons from the Tasks menu for new characters. Buying Doubloons with Robux costs real money, so ask a parent first if you are unsure.
