Illegal Soccer Beginner Guide: Controls, Stamina and Passing

Learn the basic Illegal Soccer controls, how the four-pip stamina bar works, when to pass or shoot and how to use Lucky Blocks without losing the ball.

Illegal Soccer is a Roblox soccer game with no referee, where players can use tackles and items to get the ball. After this guide you will know the controls that both of our sources agree on, how stamina works, and how to play your first matches in a simple way. Both guides were published in early September 2026 and the game has been updated since, so always check the control list shown in the match.

How a match works

Matches are Red against Blue, with up to eight players, which is four per side. You win by scoring more goals before the timer ends. There is no referee, so tackles and sabotage are not restricted. Question-mark blocks appear during matches. When you claim one, you get an item. After a match you earn Coins based on the result.

Controls

Both sources agree on these PC controls:

  • Left click: kick or shoot.
  • Right click: pass. When you do not have the ball, it also asks a teammate for it.
  • Space: dribble move.
  • Shift: sprint.

The sources disagree on some other keys. One lists F for tackle and lob, and the other lists E for tackle, F for lob and Q for a flick. Because of that, we do not give a final key for those moves. The in-game prompt or the control list in the match is the one to trust.

Stamina

Both guides describe the same stamina bar: four pips under your hotbar. Sprinting spends them, and they refill when you stop. The advice is the same in both:

  • Sprint in short bursts, then release to let the bar refill.
  • Keep some stamina for the moments that matter, such as a counterattack, a run back to defend, or a tackle contest.

Passing

Passing is the easiest way to improve fast. A few habits from the guides:

  1. Use a pass when defenders are closing in, instead of trying to dribble past several of them. One guide says that beating many defenders is usually harder than making the next simple pass.
  2. When you do not have the ball, move into open space so the passer can see you. Moving diagonally helps.
  3. Ask for the ball with right click when you are open.

Shooting

Do not shoot just because you can. Both guides push the same idea: aim for an opening, and do not rely on power alone. One source says holding left click gives a charged kick, which is useful when there is no safe pass, but more force does not guarantee a goal. The other says to move the ball first so the keeper has to shift, and to aim away from the keeper.

Tackles and items

With no referee, tackling is part of the game, but a tackle works only when the ball carrier is in range. A long tackle that misses leaves you out of position.

Items from the question-mark blocks are optional. Take one only if you can do it without giving up the ball or leaving your goal open, because scoring matters more than any item.

A simple plan for your first matches

  1. Check the control list in the match before the first kick.
  2. Pick a job: attack, defend, or stay near your goal.
  3. Sprint in bursts and keep a pip for defending.
  4. Pass early, move into space and aim shots away from the keeper.
  5. Grab items only when it is safe.

Remember that scripts and executors can get your account banned, so play the normal way.
